Prostate cancer is the second most common cancer among U.S. men, accounting for 25 percent of all cancers and the second leading cause of cancer death. In 2010, the incidence reached 217,730 cases and deaths reached 32,050.1 It's estimated that one in six men will develop prostate cancer during their lifetime. 1 The disease, a major public health problem, has significant associated emotional, practical and economic costs.
