Dear Valued Customer,
Bristol-Myers Squibb Medical Imaging is fully committed to serving the product needs of you and your patients. As such, we want to address a recent market development.
As you may know, Mallinckrodt, Inc. has issued a voluntary product recall of its Ultra-TechneKow® DTE Technetium Generators. Mallinckrodt has indicated that their technetium generator availability will be affected for a minimum of six weeks.
In the wake of this development, Bristol-Myers Squibb Medical Imaging is aggressively implementing plans to meet the overall technetium Tc99m generator demand in North America with TechneLite® (Technetium Tc99m Generators). However, in the short-term, some impacted customers may experience a temporary disruption in generator supply as Bristol-Myers Squibb Medical Imaging scales up production.
Temporary delays notwithstanding, Bristol-Myers Squibb Medical Imaging expects to be able to sustain increased production of technetium Tc99m generators to meet overall industry demand as long as required. Please note, some impacted generator customers may experience adjustments to their delivery schedule.
As this is a dynamic and evolving situation, please visit our Web site for new updates relating to our technetium Tc99m generator supply at www.bmsmi.com.
Importantly, our increase in production to meet this unanticipated industry gap has no impact on our ability to supply Cardiolite® (Kit for the Preparation of Technetium Tc99m Sestamibi for Injection) vials, as well as other Bristol-Myers Squibb Medical Imaging products.
