Biomedical Imaging Research Opportunities Workshop Scheduled for February 24 and 25 in Bethesda, MD
BIROW
Nearly 200 leading radiologic researchers, physicists, and engineers are expected to participate in the fourth Biomedical Imaging Research Opportunities Workshop (BIROW IV) on February 24 and 25 at the Bethesda North Marriott, North Bethesda, MD.

Major themes for BIROW IV include:
- Instrumentation for Rodent Research
- Role of Imaging in Drug Development
- Imaging of Chronic Metabolic Disease: Diabetes
- Image-Guided Therapy in the 4th Dimension—Time
SNM is a participating organization in BIROW IV. Workshop organizers are: the American Association of Physicists in Medicine, the Biomedical Engineering Society, the Academy of Radiology Research, the Radiological Society of North America, and the American Institute for Medicine and Biological Engineering.
Publication of the official report from the 2005 BIROW is anticipated within the next few months. The official reports from the 2003 and 2004 workshops can be viewed at www.birow.org.
