Research & Data Along with education, research is one of two guiding principles of the Society of Nuclear Medicine. SNM provides a forum for the discipline's latest and most definitive scientific investigation, while it collects and disseminates more generalized data about the profession as a whole. Society journals (JNM and JNMT) are the international standards in the publication of peer-reviewed research in clinical and basic nuclear medicine science, while data acquired by the SNM Medical Internal Radiation Dose (MIRD) Committee represents the worldwide standard in radiation dosimetry in humans. Valuable information about the profession of nuclear medicine is provided through the SNM Manpower surveys and Technology & Outcomes data. New research in the field is fostered by Society fellowships and through the efforts of the Education and Research Foundation.
